Known as “The Silver State” and home to one of the nation’s largest tourist destinations, Las Vegas, Nevada, like many Western states, takes a fairly straight forward approach when it comes to potential LE challenges.

Transfer taxes and recording fees

While transfer taxes are fairly uniform statewide, there is some deviation in the counties of Clark, Churchill and Washoe. Recording fees, on the other hand, tend to vary from county to county.

With regard to title insurance fees, for most (but not all) title underwriting companies, Nevada is divided into zones of county groupings. The underwriter’s fee may vary from zone to zone. These rates and zones are determined by the individual underwriting companies themselves.
